As with any major electrical installation it is advisable to use a qualified expert. The reasons for this include that an experienced charge point installer will be able to be quick and create the minimum of disturbance to your home or business. In addition, you will be provided with full certification that the job has been done to the highest safety standards which can often be a stipulation of any major electrical works by your home or business insurance provider.

How do you install an electric car charging point at home?

Once we have conducted the site survey we will then arrange a time convenient for you for us to install the charger. You can choose to purchase the charger directly or we can purchase it directly on your behalf. You will need to be present since we will need access to your electric meter and distribution board, so we will need access to your property. For standard home chargers, all you need is off-road parking, a solid wall or permanent structure to fix the charger to, access to your electricity supply meter, and wi-fi to enable the smart capabilities of your electric car charger. However, if you are unclear about any of this, the initial free survey will ensure all any difficulties can be overcome.
